Our Supplier Code of Conduct
Kuoni Global Travel Services has set minimal requirements on ethical and sustainable business practices for its suppliers. These are set out in the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) and this policy document is incorporated in the terms & conditions of all contracts with suppliers.
Therein, suppliers must adhere to:
• Compliance with Applicable Laws – including international, national and local laws in particular, bribery and corruption laws.
• Environment – minimise resource and energy use, reduce waste, dispose of waste responsibly (including chemicals), comply with animal welfare standards (CITES & ABTA Animal Welfare Minimum Requirements).
• Human Rights and Labour Conditions – no discrimination, no forced labour, no violence or harassment, no child labour (under 15 years of age or higher if local law dictates), safe and hygienic work place, fair wages(meet legal minimums), fair working hours (provision of reasonable hours worked, annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave).
• Sexual Exploitation of Children or Adolescents – child (under 18) prostitution forbidden and supplier will have duty to report any such behaviour from guests, employees or staff.
Kuoni Global Travel Services suppliers agree to report on their compliance and progress and allow their properties to be inspected by Kuoni Global Travel Services upon request. In case of a breach of the terms and conditions of the SCoC, Kuoni Global Travel Services is entitled to terminate any contract and cooperation with the supplier with immediate effect and reserves the right to take any further legal action at its discretion.
